The streets of Dehradun were drenched as the rain came down
harder every minute. For a place as beautiful and scenic as Dehradun, rain was
like icing on the cake. It magnified the beauty of that little city to an
immeasurable limit. People called it as a feeling of being on heaven on earth.
The streets were filled with people laughing and enjoying in the downpour,
splashing water on each other and jumping around. It was happiness all around.
Except for one…
He walked in the rain, forlorn and silent, seeking the
comfort in the droplets of water as a camouflage to cover the tears that were
flowing down his eyes relentlessly.
It was ironic that he had been happier than anyone on this
earth moments ago, when he walked into building he loved most, with his head
held high with hopes and expectations and his eyes twinkling with happiness and
love for the one whom he was to meet after years.
But all his hopes had crashed to the ground when he had
heard something which he wouldn’t have imagined to hear in the wildest of his
dreams.
I am sorry Arnav but
she is no more…She is dead…
He had refused to believe it but the truth was something he
couldn’t shake off. All the evidences were crystal clear and it didn’t allow an
ounce of doubt that it had happened. She had been snatched brutally away from
him…
His only reason of existence…
He walked down the lane with reminiscences of the past
dancing around his eyes, sucking him into it…
